We get a mention here around 34 seconds in.

Liam is questioned about the stress of moving house and says could be worse, could be a Charlton fan!

In fairness to the Gallaghers, they were always vocal about their team - even when they were in the third tier (like us).

The correct response from DB should have been.....

"you know how it is when you are in the third tier and waiting for billionaire owners to come and save you, then take you to the top of the Prem with their money?"

Remember him and his brother in the Jimmy Seed when we beat them 4-0.

And he’s obviously only said it because Dave Berry is interviewing him.
  • This is from the summer after we first got relegated from the PL, before we won Div 1.

Good of him to know Dave Berry is a Charlton Fan. Good banter and a fair point made. I've warmed to LG recently. Only slightly but he's not quite the snarly twat he used to be.

Yeah Steve White is Charlton and was Wellers drummer for a long time, now playing for The Family Silver with ex OCS bassist Damon Monchella and Matt Deighton. I'm friends of (follow them) on Facebook

Yes, it's weird to think back to a world where we and City were at a similar level

I'm supposed to be going. Going to be a long old day though if we get through on Tuesday? I might not even remember it. Obviously that wouldn't be a first.
