The wicket of Bell was probably the crucial one, if he had stayed in he could easily have farmed the strike0 -
Get in there!!!0

Phew! Would have loved to have been in TW watching this. Maybe next year.
Well done super Kent!2 -
Sadly I went yesterday when only 1 Warks wicket fell. Maybe it was my presence that cursed Kentbigstemarra said:Phew! Would have loved to have been in TW watching this. Maybe next year.

Great win. Captain fantastic.1

Close run thing between Denly, Fanny's dancing and my betting on Warwickshire for the MOM award.
Well done Kent. Big win that.5 -
Great win and performance, I really didn’t think we’d do it.
Now over to the Takeover thread to completely knock every ounce of joy out of me3 - Sponsored links:

Both Henry and Stevens rested for this match. I know we've got a final on Saturday, but can we get 20 wickets without them?0 -
Not sure how.killerandflash said:http://www.kentcricket.co.uk/news/kent-v-middlesex-mon-2pm/

Podmore contributed at Tunbridge Wells though.1 -
As a Sussex supporter, I'm hoping for a draw, although you have to fancy Middlesex if Kent play without Henry and Stevens. That exciting win over Warwickshire has clearly taken its toll. I'm heading to Canterbury on Wednesday to see what's what.0
-
Here’s hoping Billings bats long over the next few days and finds some form for Saturday. If we can add him firing on all cylinders into the white ball side, Saturday could be quite entertaining.1

As luck would have it, I've got a meeting in Canterbury tomorrow and being a Middlesex man, I shall be sneaking along for the day/night Championship game.
It will be my first visit to Canterbury since two in quick succession in 1985 (one as a player and the other to see Charlton v Lords Taverners! Alan Curbishley had Mike Denness caught at slip by Derek Ufton, Lennie Lawrence kept wicket and Mark Aizlewood bowled leg-breaks).2 -
1985, the summer before we got promoted. Forget pre season tours Bowyer, get a game of cricket organised!Simonsen said:As luck would have it, I've got a meeting in Canterbury tomorrow and being a Middlesex man, I shall be sneaking along for the day/night Championship game.

Naby Sarr as the middle-order enforcer, Big Mag as the wayward fast bowler ...killerandflash said:

I played at The St Lawrence Ground Canterbury in 1985 too, on Live Aid day in fact. We played The Mote as it was Maidstone Cricket Week and Kent were at Mote Park. Boiling hot day.Simonsen said:As luck would have it, I've got a meeting in Canterbury tomorrow and being a Middlesex man, I shall be sneaking along for the day/night Championship game.

It'll be interesting how the pink ball behaves in this match. With it being the end of June, the floodlights will barely be needed anyway!0

Naby Sarr as the wayward opening bowler I reckon. Magennis as the former wicket-keeper turned opening bat.Briston_Addick said:

Umpired a pink ball U19s league match yesterday. Team bating first made 15 (and no, I didn't give a single decision!) In 40+ years of playing cricket, that's the lowest I've seen so far!killerandflash said:It'll be interesting how the pink ball behaves in this match. Billings plays as a specialist batsman...
That's a weak looking bowling attack, Claydon (for all his faults) being injured doesn't help.
DBD, Dickson, Kuhn, Denly, Crawley, Billings (c), Rouse (wk), Podmore, Stewart, Haggett, Thomas.0 -
Stewart was bowling brilliantly on Saturday at Beckenham - hooping both ways.
Hopefully he takes that form in to this game.3 -
No this was Kent League 2nd XI's. I did play against him in 1988 when I played for the 1's away at St Lawrence & Highland Court.Simonsen said:

But unfortunately in a bad fun of form.
He will come good and when he does he is superb.
I just hope his bad form continue 's on the 6th of July.
