Fantastic !!!!! Really enjoyed that second goal. German out at the group stage. That is a shock. Bottom of the group for some icing on the cake.

Now we need Serbia to beat Brazil and that really would make it a great day.

First time ever. There were no groups in 1938.

Never thought I'd see that from a German team.

The only negative of second place is the fact that you’d play the best side in the tournament in the semis

Whilst I'm over the moon they are out, don't want to get too carried away cos we could be out this time next week after losing to the Japs on pens

That top half of the draw doesn't look so tough now. Especially knowing france and argies can't both progress either.

Just need Brazil to go out tonight and I won't care if we finished 1st or 2nd in our group, it might just be coming home.
  • Leroy Sane smiling quietly to himself tonight.

No one can tell me he wouldn't have improved that shambles of a side.

Was listening on five live on my walk home. Quality. Chris Sutton was loving it.

Yes, one player would've turned around that entire team.

I guarantee he'd have been just as bad, isolated out on the wing or on the bench.

Surely, surely we must try and finish second place now.

We would probably play Japan and then the winner of Sweden against probably Switzerland.

I know it’s all theoretical but... semi-finals is very real possibility. And then from there, we are one game away.

    Lads, it’s coming home!

The thing is, how many chances did the Germans miss? I only watched the second half, and I lost count of the number of times they blaed over the bar.

I think you are all being very mean - the World Cup will not be the same without Germany, it needs the superior teams to get to the knockout stage to maintain the spectacle,

    No?

    OK - fuck of Germany.
