5 players to score premier league hat-tricks for 3 different clubs?
  • Ok, spoiler alert if still playing, but if you’re wondering, here are the 20 (+ 6 7 in Bonnie Scotland)...

    England:

    Albion
    Alexandra
    Argyle
    Athletic
    City
    County
    Dons
    End
    Forest
    Hotspur
    Palace
    Rangers
    Rovers
    Stanley
    Town
    United
    Vale
    Villa
    Wanderers
    Wednesday

    + additional Scots names:

    Academical
    Fife
    Midlothian
    Morton
    Park
    South
    Thistle

Incidentally, until recently we also had:

    Orient
    Redbridge

which could feasibly be back next year, or we may see some new additions like:

    Moors (Solihull Moors)
    Waterlooville (Havant and Waterlooville)
Wood (Boreham Wood - yes, two words)

There are plenty of other unique names in the divisions below the National league, so we’ll be waiting at least 2 years for any of those.
Which leads me to a follow up question....

There’s another last name that has been in the football league this century which is now floundering 2 divisions below the league, in the 6th tier.
    Can you name the team?

    Kidderminster Harriers

Correct; Uruguay won Gold at the 1924 and 1928 Games - Because the World Cup hadnt come along yet the Olympics were the premier competition

    Arsenal have done it twice
    Liverpool have done it once.
Millwall can't do it until 2031
Charlton nearly did it in 2016/17.

    What is it?

My mate at work who knows everything, reckons Yakubu and Kevin Campbell are the other 2.

Dont have a scooby what the answer is but I'm looking forward to finding what it'll be

Its the fact that we nearly did it in 2016/17 yet Millwall cant till 2031 that has me stumped

Can't be just 3 teams then.

Just looked it up and in 2010-11 Blackpool were top of the league after the first round of games but went down.

They were top on the Saturday after their first game (0-4) but not on the following day after the first round of games had been completed - Chelsea won their first game 6-0.
Which means they were top. Not for long, but still top.
