When I speculated the delay was nothing to do withRoland, ex Directors or loans, you made a point of highlighting that bit and said “not so”. But if you know for a fact that this is not the case, you must know something you have not shared.
Not every comment I’ve made is based on something he told me. I have a couple of other sources who send me info because I’ve shared my GM info. I don’t remember that ‘not so’, or the context, and the only thing I heard from GM about pre May 18th delays was they they were from issues dating from before the Duchâtelet era.
I’m not holding anything back about the negotiations, trust me.

I think the fact that the Aussie turned up in the crowd and was waving a scarf and hailed as the new messiah and sky announced that new owners were waiting to take over - had us all thinking that the RD would be gone in a couple of weeks.. and let’s get the players in and get out of league for most has soured the start of the season and maybe all of it for us ....

Certainly mugged themselves off there in my opinion. Way too premature and naive if they really felt it was over the line. It almost smacked of arrogance if I was totally honest.

Exactly. If Roland could have got more money out of another buyer he would have sent the Aussies packing.

Judging by the amount of comments on this thread in the hour or so since this news broke i would say most people are taking it with a pinch of salt and/or are totally fed up with it and dont believe a word anyone says anymore

Having worked in private equity for the last year - that’s not how groups of investors work. They are not buying the club for the love of it or for fun. They will have made a risk assessment and decided if it’s worth the risk and then end goal is achievable - then they will spread the risk - often investing other people’s money - so doing multi DD. Only then will they go ahead.
