My wife 'kinda' got into football during The World Cup, I've warned her tonight is going to be nothing like that, I'm not aure she's prepared for how awful it's going to be.JessieAddick said:At home with my parents. They'll probably watch for only half an hour before deciding it's a waste of time and mockingly asking me why I support such a shit team. They're used to watching Premier League football...

Ended up watching this in a pub in Sidmouth with two West Country based Charlton fans and a Sunderland fan. 90 minutes accompanied by a diddly-dee band (Folk Festival here this week)....surreal but good fun.1

At least watching that result gave me the anger and energy to rip up my carpet afterwards! (It needed doing).0

770 at the ground...decent turnout considering it was live on TV and a early KO.Lincsaddick said:

Was actually pleased for him which really confused me - grrrrrr.

A Chinese Sunderland supporting friend of mine went to the game and later were full of praise for our travelling fans. Another Chinese Sunderland fan mentioned the same thing to me as well. I heard VFR loud and clear on the stream I watched. Those who went are a credit to this club. Well done to them.Hastingsaddick said:
