Wouldn’t you verify with Bauer himself before telling the press? Or would you just think “that Duchâtelet bloke is a man of his word, no point whatsoever in me confirming this really important fact as it will definitely, definitely be true if good old Roland has said it to me”.cafcwill said:

If I was Patrick Bauer and I played for a club that couldn't list a full set of subs for the opening game of the season, alarm bells would start ringing.
If I was Patrick Bauer and I played for a club where the manager looked like breaking all records for being the longest standing caretaker in football, alarm bells would start ringing.
If I was Patrick Bauer and I played for a club that had gone for ¾ year without a chief executive, alarm bells would start ringing.
If I was Patrick Bauer and I played for a club that had dropped down the league despite my best efforts, alarm bells would start ringing.
If I was Patrick Bauer and I played for a club where the owner was universally hated, alarm bells would start ringing.
If I was Patrick Bauer and I played for a club where fans were staying away in droves, alarm bells would start ringing.
If I was Patrick Bauer and I played for a club that sold its best young players at every opportunity, alarm bells would start ringing.
If I was Patrick Bauer and I played for a club where proposed improvements to the training ground never happened, alarm bells would start ringing.
If I was Patrick Bauer and I played for a club that the owner wanted to sell but couldn't because of its ridiculous over-valuation, alarm bells would start ringing.
If I was Patrick Bauer and I played for a club that was penny pinching over every little thing, alarm bells would start ringing.
If I was Patrick Bauer and I played for a club where people told you one thing and then did another, alarm bells would start ringing.
If I was Patrick Bauer I'd be shouting from the rooftop, "the bells, the bells, somebody stop the bells, I can't hear myself think anymore"!39 -
I think he should talk about on field matters only......if he doesn't deal with the contracts then he should direct the press to the arse'ole that does.se9addick said:

It’s made Lee Bowyer look silly. I get the impression that Bowyers not the sort of bloke that will take too much of that. He still hasn’t been offered the managers seat yet either despite saying that he and Roland would sit down and discuss it before the season started.
Wouldn’t be shocked to see Lee walk away.4 -
Nice one Pat. Get out while you can fella. That place is crazier than a coconut.8
-
Not offered a new one, will not extend present one, did not say he would not sign a new, better contract4
-
Can’t interpret it anyway, he’s not been offered a contract and won’t sign one if he’s offered. Let’s not try and spin it to think he is angling for a new and better contract. He’s gone.6

If Bauer and Aribo go by Thursday we will go down. Protests and match abandonments should happen.18

I can’t take much more of this......we are powerless to stop this arsehole destroying us.
Guys what can we do.......short of m

He's off then.

Will we name any subs on saturday?Nicholas said:If Bauer and Aribo go by Thursday we will go down. Protests and match abandonments should happen.

Certainly think that Season Ticket holders would have a case if they said that what they had bought "was not of merchantable quality".shirty5 said:

I am not sure we have the appropriate staff to offer him one, they really need to address these staff issues. Get some Temps in, that's what most businesses would do0
-
Not signing a new contract doesn't mean he will automatically leave this week. He might prefer to let his contract run out and get a nice signing on fee instead1

What makes you think the club will sign anybody?ForeverAddickted said:
Nope... I just hope he's fed up being under Roland and that if we can keep him till a takeover is completed (LOL!) then he'll maybe consider a new deal under our new owners - Really sounds like a come and get me plea though and explains he lack of performance Saturday as didnt seem on top of his game I must admitcafc4life said:Can anyone blame him?
Oh well... We're getting a new Defender (to replace Bauer) and a new Midfielder (to replace Aribo or JFC), so we'll only sign the one Goalkeeper that'll actually ADD to the squad before the window closes on Thursday
Certainly tallies up with what Ajose apparently said on the train home!!
Cos Bowyer says that's what he's been told?
He's lied to, day after day, on every subject.
There isn't a cat in hell's chance the BFG would be replaced if/when the duplicitous greedy owner accepts any other club's offer, cash up front obviously.
Doeshitalot's form suggests he'd happily flog Pat to Shrewsbury on Wednesday evening and rush the paperwork through so he'd be eligible to play against us at the Valley on Saturday.
£200k for Magennis with a year left - how much the BFG? £350k? £500k?
All academic cos the proceeds won't be reinvested in the football business, just to ameliorate the europrat's losses.
Our best(only) hopes rest in the integrity of PB, JA etc, that they'll resist any transfers to League 1 sides.
PB having said he wouldn't extend his current contract, the lying lunatic in Belgium will probably email Bow with instructions not to select him, cos Naby's better anyway.
What's the earliest a team has ever been relegated in a 46 match season?0 -
Sounds like he is a tad annoyed, probably not helped by Charlton fans on twatter asking him when he is signing contract etc.
Don't think this pain will ever end. Genuinely thought a week or 2 ago that this side is 2/3 players away from being play offs at least but with JFC out and with Bauer and Aribo likely to be out the door plus the injuries mounting up we really are in shit street.
Roland's payback for all the piggies on the pitch..0 -
Bowyer won't be too far behind him imo.

Hopefully he’ll be asked why his player has seemingly contradicted him in this Thursday’s press conference.AllLeftFoot said:In this context, Bowyer's positivity and message that we're aiming for promotion is starting to sound very hollow.
Can understand why he wants to be making the right noises, but he's going to be looking out of touch with reality if there are a couple of more sales this week.

The constant drip, drip of negativity & disappointment is very draining.
The players are merely pawns in the Rat's eyes.
The fans ( sorry, customers) are merely something to be scraped off his duct taped boots.
Just hope I'll still be alive & kicking when he finally slinks off to the bank muttering " I TOLD 'em I don't do failure!"1 -
Doesn’t this mean he’s more likely to stay for this season? Why would anyone pay money for him when they can get him for a free in less than 12 months0
-
I think i would cry if i hadn't become so desensitised to the whole fucking thing5

Maybe because it reduces the risk of competing for him on a free, especially when you can get him cheap in one of Roland's cash upfront deals.JoshAddick said:Doesn’t this mean he’s more likely to stay for this season?
