  • League 2 here we come!
  • I don't think the Aussies are wasting time. More likely they have made their offer and are sticking with it. Question is will RD get fed up with all the abuse he gets from us and the media, plus having to pay the bills. After next week he will be unable to sell the players, until January. Maybe the twat will finally give up and sell next week.

It's only our window that closes next week, he can flog players to Europe for all of August.
Of the players who might go to Europe, Igor is injured, Bauer seems settled in England while Sarr wouldn't be especially missed anyway...

Agreed, but only if the players want to go, presumably?

Unfortunately Roland has history with forcing players to leave

Stephen Dafour - Standard to Porto - He didn't want to go, Roland wanted the money and told him he'd never player for standard again if he didn't leave
Yann Kermorgant - CAFC to Bournemouth - We all know about this one
Diego Poyet - CAFC to Standard - was offered a CAFC contract but told he'd be loaned out straight away to Standard

I'd be interested to see who gets 'transferred' to Sint Truiden (as i type this i realised that Roland sold them last year)

    Michael Morrison too.
  • Bit different when the player knows you want to sell the club and have someone about to buy it

Didn't he turn down a move to a Romanian club?
I'd completely forgotten about this one, but this is another prime example

there was also trying to flog Solly off on loan to Gillingham (however this was mainly Katrien i think)

Yann wasn't forced out, he was offered a crap deal and instead chose the better one from Bournemouth, If nothing else, he could have stayed with us until the summer if he really didn't want to move.
There's no way now that a player could be forced to move abroad, if he tried to do that to Aribo or Bauer they'd just laugh in his face and take the wages until their contracts ran out anyway in a year's time

Maybe all this talk about the Aussies refers to Alisher Usmanov - initials AU.... AUssies? Maybe? Please? Pretty please?

I think he would pick Slovakia over Scotland, he would not want to drop that low
  • AU, the rock steady crew

  • I sent them an email with very similar wording this morning, willie, responding to their promo message for the launch of the new season. It didn't bounce, but not holding breath for reply!
  • Check this thread far too many times a day in the hope of positive news.

Perhaps if we started another thread it might change...........please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Waiting for another deadline to end in total silence---- only a couple of days to wait
  • I thought there was more to the Usmanov rumours than just that ‘sighting’ could be wrong though. I’ve heard it a few times.
  • Can't believe this is still going on.

(I'm guessing will probably also likely be said in august 2019)
