Has he brought his own water bottle?16

We willing playing rush back goal keeper next week0

Right that is it. I’m of to buy my season ticket.7
-
I can’t see him playing number 2 to Phillips all season.
Not saying I don’t want Phillips to get a chance - that’s just what I think may happen2 -
Right, sorry about this, but it just had to be done. Song for our new keeper:
Steer it up, little darlin', Steer it up. Come on, baby
Come on and stir it up, little darlin', stir it up. O-oh!
It's been a long, long time, yeah! (Steer it, Steer it, Steer it together)
Since I've got you on my mind (oh-oh-oh-oh) Oh-oh!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51pxEO1HX3A&start_radio=1&list=RD51pxEO1HX3A

he'll start with Brewer on the bench and Phillips out on loan to get more confidence and experience .. I pray that Steer stays fit as we have enough crocks to stock a china shop1
-
If true, a great loan for us.
Hopefully we can get a midfielder and a full back for the season as well.3 -

Born in Norwich ....means he has 6 fingers on each hand - perfect for a goalkeeper.14

How does that work????Lincsaddick said:he'll start with Brewer on the bench and Phillips out on loan to get more confidence and experience .. I pray that Steer stays fit as we have enough crocks to stock a china shop
You get in a loan keeper, because the only back up is a kid (Ashley Maynard-Brewer) with no experience, so you then loan your number 1???
Which leaves us with, an experienced first choice and...a kid with no experience!
They will both be here, battling for the number one goalkeeping position...3 -

Even the comms team are trolling with the 'done deal' now!3

We do love to sign a crock at Charlton.0

Was apparently our target last summer ahead of Amos.0

Hmmmm I did say to myself that if the loan signing was a keeper I wouldn't be happy seeif as we need a few more outfield players as a priority, however bit undecided now. On paper a better keeper than Philips and probably likely to become our number one this season.... Which is a shame as would rather have seen Phillips given the nod.
Of course next season will be the real GK trouble, as if Phillips does end up as second choice again and no loan out... He won't be staying on for another season which will leave us with AMB only.0 -
It's naughty of me but I can't help looking at that photo and expecting an arm to fall off.....Callumcafc said:2 -
Good signing... Made some crucial saves when @ 1-1 on Monday that allowed Aston Villa to go on and win the game
Looks like he could be mistaken for Scott Carson's younger brother as well!!
On another note I love the Green Goalkeeper jersey even more than the orange one that Dillon wore against Sunderland5 -
why did we turn down offers for Phillips a while ago if we are never going to give him a chance?1

My Villa supporting friend says he is very Injury prone and made one the worst clangers he has ever seen in a pre season match against Dresden a few weeks back.0

Did he save the pen with his ear? Jug Steers?Callumcafc said:1 -
Would be more worried if he was a Driesden clangerCH4RLTON said:My Villa supporting friend says he is very Injury prone and made one the worst clangers he has ever seen in a pre season match against Dresden a few weeks back.

All footballers suffer injury periodically. How do you define "injury prone" though?CH4RLTON said:My Villa supporting friend says he is very Injury prone and made one the worst clangers he has ever seen in a pre season match against Dresden a few weeks back.
As far as I can find out, Steer has had 2 major injuries as a professional - a ruptured achilles 2 years ago and last January, a dislocated shoulder.
They are 2 unrelated injuries, I reckon.
They don't appear to be continuous or problematic since.

I hate having keepers on loan, take time to settle and form an understanding with the team then BANG the season is over and we start again next summer.
would honestly rather Phillips was the number one with M-B on the bench.
