When the new 'era' finally dawns

OK, tempting fate here. So, when Roland has finally gone and we have new owners - be they from 'down under' of wherever, what should our reaction be? Open the champers, buy a season ticket, dance in the streets (who can forget the scenes at Woolwich Town Hall ?) Or will it be more reserved, a mixture of relief mixed with a more reflective "let's not get carried away" reaction? Probably due to age I'm a lot more cynical these days and will wait to see what is promised and what is actually delivered before I get too excited.

    More the second I think. Wont be buying a season ticket due to where I live and family circumstances but will certainly be more up for going (three home games in about as many years) than I have been since twathead took over.

    a long, long time ago when the takeover thread started I'm sure that many fans would have met in pubs and celebrated such an auspicious occasion with copious amounts of alcohol and a sing song before going home via the kebab shop. Now, it will be thank gawd for that and a cup of tea watching Coronation Street.

    I'll be celebrating, big time. We will have rid our club of a destructive force and will be able to help rebuild it. That is worthy of a celebration, even if the dominant emotion is one of relief.
