Not checked the scores for a few hours, really not expecting that! No idea why we can't get like that in the 1st innings though. ..

We really do have a very very good squad at present.
We just need a bit of silverware to top off what is turning out to be an excellent season thus far.
However, I do understand the reticence some of us may have given our ability in the recent past to blow things at the final hurdle.
We are in with a shout in all competitions, surely to god we’ll win one of them!
  • Scoreboard ticking along nicely:

    69-2 Heino 21* Dicko 25*

Another 184 runs needed for victory and (almost certainly) 2nd place in the table after this round of matches ...

Pretty mad to think we won from here without losing a wicket!!

    Quality stuff!

Got a horrible feeling we may end up doing well in all 3, but ultimately come up short. We really could do with Derbyshire winning tomorrow or hanging on for a draw

  • Been out all day & then straight to The Valley where a pal told us about the win.

Great performance from our lads indeed.

And now a day of rest before Thursday's big one .

Surely nothing can go wrong now ?

Ivan Thomas, a product of Blackheath CC colts system, has taken more 1st class wickets (57) than he has in the KCL (29)!
  • anyone know when surrey and essex play their quarter finals ties?

I see light rain is now forecast for tomorrow during the day. It should be ok in the evening, but it's quite uncanny how poor the weather has been for Kent in the T20 this year!

Derby 77-2 at lunch. However Slater has retired inj and Rampaul has been absent for most of the game, so maybe 77-4 if Slater can't come back

Jennings and Buttler both available for selection tomorrow for Lancs.

    132-6, effectively 132-7 if Slater can't continue.

That really pissed me of with the last T20 qfinal against Lancs. Buttler didnt play for them in the league games and then just swans in for the big match. Bugger off back to England you centrally contracted nob

Sussex win, and are now 11 points above us thanks to having 25 batting points to our 6 (six)

    All too predictable.

The lack of batting points will be the difference between promotion and not.

Was hoping we would have been the Saturday/Sunday game as then could have made it, but will have to settle for Sky Sports tonight instead. Looking forward to it - although slightly nervous now they have Buttler available.

I've been to a few of the t20s this season and whilst I'll say it is a lot more fun when you are winning, we look genuinely good at this format and I'm really excited for the game this evening. Until Buttler decides to break a few windows on the flats!

There are always a lot of Lancs fans around when we play them...

As a Kent fan I want us to win easily. At The same time a bit of Buttler or Faulkner action would be nice too!
