    Another single-figure score for Burns
  • Mildly annoying we couldn't make it a 6th win by an innings this season.

    Never mind.
  • Team for the game against Worcestershire at New Road:

Burns, Stoneman, Elgar, Foakes, Pope, Jacks, Clarke, T Curran, Morkel, Dernbach, Virdi

Worcestershire win the toss and will bat first
  • Is Roy still injured after his bat throwing incident or are they just not playing him?

  • Waiting for @Leuth to pipe up!!

  • 74-1 at lunch
  • Thought it was harsh to leave Mckerr out for Dernbach who is returning from injury. Connor had done well the last 2 games and looked very impressive. Jade has done well this season but I feel not enough to come straight back into the side for someone doing well.

As for Roy there are some rumours doing the rounds that it's either a disciplinary for his actions after getting out in the t20 or that there has been a falling out as a result of that incident. He's been promoting some sponsor stuff and there have been pictures on Twitter. Her certainly doesn't seem injured. There is no mention on the OS of him whereas fringe players are listed as injured etc.

Personally I'm a huge fan of Jase and we can't afford to lose him. Whatever it is needs to be worked out soon.

The day before his injury Stewart was on TMS singing his praises saying that once he plays some red ball games for Surrey he could be an outside bet for the winter tours with england. Clearly aomething has changea since then. Young players Jacks and Patel have been preferred even with Pope and Borthwick not available.
