Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for me.

Quality player, quality finisher. Never in the press, always smiling, has come back from career-threatening injuries, and snubbed the chance to move a number of times. Seems a nice bloke as well.

Nicest footballer there has ever been.

Henry of Arsenal is the obvious choice, a joy to watch. Although to me the one I most admire is the most complete player in his position Paul Scholes (OK maybe his tackling is bad) but was gutted when he turned his back on England.

Xabi Alonso, think the bloke is quality, Gerrard is the obvious choice, but Alonso is everything Scott Parker wished he was.

Ryan Giggs - brilliant on the pitch but never hear about him off it.

Zola, the bloke was absolute class and the sort of player I'd pay money to watch.

Mickey Owen. Just seems like a really down to earth nice bloke. If I were Curb_It I'd want to give him a cuddle

Peter osgood was one of my childhood idols. Such a class player.

Modern day, the likes of Matt Le tiz or Steve Bull for the loyalty they showed their clubs. Or was it lack of ambition???

Bryan Robson was a fantastic pro for Man Utd and England, in the same league as Steve Gerrard.

Agree with Henry and Eltham .......... It is Giggs and Zola for me.
I am normally too partisan to enjoy the oppostion - but those two are special and I have always enjoyed watching those two at the Valley - even though Zola was often a sub.

And you never hear anythnig bad about them, in fact you never hear anything much about them at all away from the games.

    Gary Neville ALL DAY LONG

The bloke has been hated by all and sundry for years because he speaks his mind and he is one bloody good footballer to boot. Another who you never see in the press.

    Aaah, can't stand Neville !

Think he has the potential to make a very good manager though.

Robbie Fowler back in his hey day.
  • Arf,

Thought better of you than that. Like him very much as an England player, probably one of the best right backs we have ever produced.

But his winey, nasal Manc voice irritates me and he is/was one of the main reasons why United were hated so much before Chelsea came along

Campo at Bolton, not your usual lung bursting Premiership athlete - just a bloody good passer of the ball & intelligent player.

Continuing the Bolton theme Kevin Nolan. Underated player who comes across as a down to earth lad who still maintains links with his junior team and coaches them.

    Xavi, Barcelona

Been there for years, quietly going about his buisness.

    Class player!
