I'm always the first to moan (surely not) about the cost of the mascots since the Junior Reds disappeared.

    yes mate, have been too old for quite a while but still surprised as when i was a lad it was one of my charlton rights of passage - mascot, junior red events, open days, etc. I just assumed it had carried on...

    it's a sad sight Jnr Reds was brilliant a quaterly 6-8 page magazine with interviews with players and cross words etc as well as what you have noted...

    It went about 2 seasons back.

    I honestly think I was one of the first ever Junior Reds.

    It is funny how football has changed, if you'd told me back then that people would leave matches at half time I'd have thought you were nuts!
