Really lovely guy. Felt extremely humbled to be given the opportunity to write it and interview him.East_Stand_Loopy said:
Unfortunately due to his age and condition, he was unable to reveal too much more, but he was full of spirit and it was a pleasure to be in his company.

A lovely story. With that scoring record it makes you wonder why he didn't stay for the following season.2

He and my dad were best mates many moons ago. He was known as Wally Turner. Met him a couple of times, really nice bloke. Came to my dad's funeral in 1985. Good to hear he's still going strong at 95.5

My neighbour in the Covered End tells me that his mother, now well into her nineties, used to go dancing with Arthur Turner just after the War. Is he the last surviving member of our cup-winning team?0

He is, we believe, the oldest living FA Cup finalist.

I hope Arthur has a prominent mention on Riviera's "Celebrities" thread.1

Trivial point but 70+ years later the prominent hairstyle of very short back and sides with a longer swept back top is all the fashion again!Henry Irving said:This cartoon of the 1946 team is signed by all the players bar AT
