Thought this deserved its own thread, rather than using the tv series one.
Latest offering from the fantastic BBC Earth team, narrated by Sir David Attenborough
Starts tomorrow at 8.30.
Usually these type of series feature 3 or 4 animals per episode, this time it’s focused on 1 species per week.
Episode one is on Chimpanzees
Following episodes on Lions, Emperor Penguins, Painted Wolves and Tigers.

Just got time to put the kettle on. Starts in 5 minutes0

I thought the title referred to the number of offspring of BBCites who got jobs following daddy and/or mummy ((:>)1

Superb television, and spme of those making the documentary spent two years out there filming it. Incredible.0

That hour was up there with Attenborough’s finest work. Fantastic and worth the licence fee.1

Very good. Felt a lot of sympathy for the old boy but then he probably did the very same to a predecessor to get the gig.
Scary the similarities with human society. We've not really come all that far in many respects.
Looking forward to the rest of the series.2 -
Dave. Top lad1

Blimey, those boys knew how to go for it. I would hate to see them when they have had a drink!1

Does no one else find this sort of thing a bit contrived? Film some wild animals and add some of your own commentary that fits the pictures...4

I just thought what a nasty two faced bastard...
But then I was watching the concluding episode of Bashar al-Assad dynasty.0 -
Mind blowing stuff, pretty moving when they group came back to tend to him.

Contrived mate. Probably weren’t even chimps, just Warwick Davis and a couple of his little mates dressed up.shine166 said:Mind blowing stuff, pretty moving when they group came back to tend to him.

He should have killed Luther when he had the chance but a good innings for David. Great program, good to see Attenborough back on screen after his voiceover only work0
-
He was a survivor for sure
I love the bits at the end of shows like this and planet earth where we see how it was filmed
When David was injured it reminded me of one of my favourite programmes Meerkat Manor, when Shakespeare the bravest Meerkat who ever walked the Kalahari, got hurt after winning a fight with a real nasty bastard of a Meerkat called Big sy. Shakespeare was never seen again presumed dead and I really wished the producers had just got him to a vet0
