how long is he out for?
i'm sure i read that he'd be out for 6 weeks when he done it. gotta be near that soon.
saying that, i suppose playing a c/half trialist suggests he's not near to a return.

Even if he were close to a return, Primus loan deal will end fairly shortly so maybe Powell is being lined up as cover?0

wasn't the primus loan deal sort of abandoned then re arranged as a three month loan a short while back?0

primus goes back after the derby game in december.0

Pardew probably realises that having only used 24 players this season, he needs to get new faces in to approach last year's total of 38.0 -
I would just like to add that we have only won once since Fortune went off injured at Forest and whilst we weren't looking great before we were certainly looking comfortable mid table. Added to this weakening of the defence we also started playing Cranie around this time who IMO is very poor. He has been found wanting in all areas. He may be slightly better at centre back but his lack of height didn't help against Barnsley.
Hopefully Cranie will be left out in future (sorry Martin). I would prefer any option to him.Defence for Saturday.
