novel new experience for me. Whoever has put the kettle on can I have a tea please, two sugars.
  • Soudas - From afar it sounds like he's played absolute sh**e the last half a dozen games..... never feel comfortable with him in the side. Think he's a mistake waiting to happen.

Saying that.. he could be having a stormer today. I've just woke up.

Are we organising another emergency training session on dealing with set-pieces during the half-time interval ?

Thought we might have spent a bit of time on it in the week...

Come , don't give up. Varney and Gray to confound us all inthe second half . Bang. 2-1 Charlton !
  • [cite]Posted By: golfaddick[/cite]can somebody please confirm if Varney is playing right or left wing ?
Sounds like Varney down the right & Boauzza down the left.

Yep....you can call me a pessimist too.....and I don't care whether we win today Pardew has gotta go!

AFKA you seem to have changed you opinion since the NW Kent meeting with Pardew.....?

Pards is like Brian Friedman on x factor some people are defending him when the big boss man is eventially going to get rid.

he should have gone last week....this is bollox.....

Got a good view from there then have you?

listening to commentary....no excuse for the lack of marking from set pieces especially as it was our demise last week....poor coaching
  • Apparently Hudson was also booked during the 1st half, so that's 3 on a yellow after 45 mins. We argued with pretty much every referee's decision apparently. Doesn't sound a happy place for the visitors so far today. We have to change something now, or it's going to be another rotten defeat. We came back last year though, and Plymouth sound a very, very average team. We've just got to get out there & give them a game for god's sake!

Or simply good coaching but with players who are either not doing what they're told or players who are incapable of doing what they're told...who knows???

have we had any efforts on target ? Has their keeper made a save ? If so that's an improvement on the last few away games.

Personally I don't think that players at this level should need to be told constantly to "mark your man" and "don't let your man get away from you".

As guilty as Pardew maybe in this mess, a certain amount of blame needs to be placed on players simply not doing their job.

Confidence or no confidence, a player playing in the championship should know how to stick with their f'ing man at a corner/free kick.

    Post of the day.
  • No substitutes at HT. Plymouth win a corner after 15secs of 2nd half. Primus heads clear.

They probably are average Pete....but we have been 'less' than average just about all this season....so that reasoning(though I take your point mate) is hardly applicable with this current side.
  • Agree completely Trickyricky. Can't blame Pardew for the players making schoolboy errors. Something very wrong at the moment.

Exactly SoundAs. We spend all week practising defending set-pieces, then some idiot loses his man and it's the coach's fault!!!
  • Home crowd is very quiet, waiting for something to happen. Aren't we all!!

  • We're playing with 3 up front apparently. Plymouth break into our box but we manage to scramble it clear.

getting the ball out wide now plymouth and we look dodgy from crosses......weaver uncomfortable
  • We are still on the back foot & defending pretty desperately. Another corner to Plymouth. Cleared after a scramble.

Interesting shift detectable here after Pardew's mea culpa in the week. Blame palpably shifting in people's minds from the manager to the players.

And I agree. TrickyRicky is so right. I mean, the manager does not tell them to lose their man at corners, right? That can only be down to their inability to concentrate or whatever it is.

Just don't forget who bought the players and assembled the team, though!
