Why do most 'comedians' these days have to affect an extremely annoying accent?

John Bishop being the worst. He might be Scouse, but fuck me
  • Posting without reading but would I be right in guessing Charlton Jim was mentioned and then the debate raged on for a few pages?

Joe Lycett, I simply cannot understand how anyone finds him remotely funny.

BBC comedy commissioners clearly find camp voices/mannerisms hilarious.

We had about 5 minutes of uk telly last night, after about 3 month of bliss and not watching any, and all we got was some dodgy game show with him hosting. Glad the box went funny again and we're back to just Netflix

He’s currently on Sunday brunch, they’re roaring with laughter at everything he says, wankers.

Jack Whitehall; annoying, unfunny, entitled and generally despised by his peers.

He did a very funny sketch on 8 out of 10 cats does countdown about parking tickets which was hilarious. I bought his live dvd on the strength of that sketch . The dvd was awful

We saw Jack Whitehall unannounced on Friday, on the Tattershall Castle.
I like him, but he wasn't funny at all.
    Presumably testing out new material.

    Russell Brand just awful
as a comedian, perhaps, but as a philosopher?
If Russell brand is classed as a philosopher these days then humanity really is on its last dregs. The guy is the walking definition of a wanker.
A rare UK TV appearance from him tonight by all accounts.

    ;-)

I think we all have different tastes in comedy and if you make a career out of comedy you must be decent at it even if I don't find you funny. My favourite is Henning Wehn. He just makes me laugh.
  • I went to the Tramshed last night in Woolwich for their monthly comedy night. Fantastic value at £12.50 for 3 acts.
  • Nish Kumar is deeply unfunny.

    Likes a bread roll though.

Saw him in Plymouth around 4 years ago, absolutely hilarious. If you are a Brexiteer I could understand you not liking him.
