Can't see this ending well at all, unless he gets on Duolingo.

The last time he was in charge of a Granada was after 26 pints and he spent 58 days in HMP Chelmsford.

In fairness, he was only trying to get the wall back 10 yards.

Kieran Richardson & Nigel Reo-Coker are on trial.

I thought Adams had given up drinking years ago. Obviously not!

Hmm, free agents who haven't played for ages, with no match fitness

Tony is clearly copying how we avoided relegation last season...

Glad to see he's mastered the language...by which I mean the British way of mastering the language, speaking English slowly and loudly.

I know he bled and all, and I do often criticize British managers for not going abroad (Scotland doesn't count), but he's a joke who made it here because he has rich mates.
  • Just been appointed at Granada, currently looking doomed in La Liga.

    Weird one.

    Aren't they linked to Watford?

not anymore. the pozzo family sold it to a Chinese business man last summer.

Another club not doing very well despite being bought by Chinese owners. Be careful what you wish for and all that.

For balance is there an example of US owners doing well at a club? Man Utd maybe but they have been loaded with debt and it has unraveled a bit in recent seasons.

  • I went to his sisters wedding, met him and he is a nice guy. Shame it didn't really work out managing. Best of luck to him, bit of an unusual sidestep
  • A rather random appointment, to put it mildly!
  • Spent most of his career kicking the ball out of touch.
  • A rather random appointment, to put it mildly!

Aparently not as random as it may seem.
According to many professional rugby league players, his Sporting Chance Academy has helped many turn their lives around during and after their careers. In their words he is a ‘true advocate of the game’.
Good luck to him, I hope he raises the profile of the sport in a positive way.

Spent most of his career kicking the ball out of touch.

Which is totally useless in league

I saw that, but to me a President is more of an exec role than just being a figurehead or someone involved in one area of the sport

What a random comment, league winner, England player, captain. I am pretty sure he done more than kick the ball out of touch. Was great in the air, great captain!

Not great at taking corners though. Especially when drunk in a motor car.

Not sure it works like that in league. Andy Burnham is the current Pres & I doubt he gets involved too much. In fact I'd forgotten he was lol
  • @KBslittlesis possibly but never knew Tony had any interest in league. Stuart Pearce yes.
