"I think in the next week, I'm going to make a couple of moves in the in and out department to give us a little boost. We've made a number of phone calls this week, but rather than make a rash decision, I've decided we'll approach it next week once I've had a long, hard think about it"

    personally i just dont see whats out there. The bloke from Chelsea who went to wolves looks quality Manciene or somthing missed that one tho. think we would be looking at lower prem teams ala Stoke, Wigan pompey etc.. Dean Windass anyone??

    Not sure about Windass but Hull have got a midfielder called Bryan hughes who scores goals at a lower level....

    Given that Danny Shittu found the net 8 times last season I'm not so sure Pards would want him embarrassing (and as a consequence ruining the confidence of) our free scoring forwards.

    What have Stoke got this season in their reserves that is better than us? They have a good team ethic but technically I don't think any of theri rabble would add anything constructive to our current bunch

    Let's face it clubs struggling at the wrong end of the Championship are hardly first choice for prospective loanees or their clubs. The debacle with Sinclair and Cook to a lesser extent last season will still linger in the memory. I can't see us getting any top picks. More likely other Championship battlers who aren't getting a look-in at their current clubs or lower league players once again. How depressing.
