"We've had to wait for a few Carling Cup results to come in and see where players sit. We might even have to wait until after the draw on Saturday for one particular player."

    Really wonder who?
  • If I was going to have a bet I'd say Arsenal's Jay Simpson.

He is a good player but Pards doesn't utilise his players strengths he looks to use players that play his style of football.
  • I've had enough of loan players.

Maybe, but I get the feeling he wants to add strength and experience. No point replacing Ambrose with a young, similar type of player, I think Simpson is a winger or striker isn't he?

He said he wants a player or two that will give us a lift, I don't think you'll get that from some young reserve player.

Their cars are big enough. I'd like to be dropped off at Blackheath for a pre match beer about 1pm, please.

McLeod to go out on loan?

Wouldn't surprise me, needs a run of games.

Given that the rest of our own strikers aren't exactly firing on all cylinders, maybe he should first get a few games with us...
  • The last time McLeod went out on-loan look what happened. . . .
  • if we want to stay bottom half of the championship we need players like izale

so let's see who's in the draw

    Arsenal
    Spuds
    Man Yoo
    Blackburn
    Derby
    Burnley
    STOKE
    Watford
    Derby

ok who from derby, watford, stoke , burnley maybe blackburn then - honestly can't see one player form the others coming here unless they are a youngster and in that case Pardew has already said he tried that etc.

Whelan from stoke wasn't it - if I am not mistaken he captained them the other night so can;t see that one happening

other than that haven't a clue who Pardew could be after.
  • Pulis praised the guys who came in for the cup match and said the'd get a chance soon. I can't imagine anybody who hadn't played in the Prem wanting to drop a division if there's a chance of a start at Stoke.

Saw Steve Coppell on SSN talking about how he looked dangerous the other night without actually scoring, and going on about how he needs a goal to spark him into form..

    Sounds a bit like Varney.

EDIT: But more than proven as a goalscorer at the highest level ;)

Kitson has only just signed for them for over £5mill no way would they want him to get an injury at ours and secondly they need all the players of his quality in their squad and thirdly he would cost a fortune in wages!
  • Forget Kitson, no chance.

The player at Stoke we hopefully will get is........

I think it's a lot more possible than you think, not that I think a striker is particularly a priority.

I can't imagine he'd be wanting more than Ambrose was on in terms of wages, and I'm pretty sure he hasn't been on the bench in a couple of games (Carling Cup aside).

I can see him coming to us in a similar situation to that of Lita last season.
  • [cite]Posted By: Callumcafc[/cite]Stoke -> Kitson.

I know for sure that Kitson is gagging to get back down South.

But from what I've heard we've not been mentioned.

just what we need in a relegation battle, loan players with out any consequences, but too return to their respective clubs, if we are relegated.

Hear Michael Mifsuds name is being banded about. He used to know where the back of the net is.
    Not so sure about now?
