Was on Talksport Saturday lunchtime ?
He was saying he had the choice to go Sunderland, Boro or Charlton. Boro offered the most, Sunderland the least but he chose them before he had lived in the town and was happy there, and Peter Reid had promised him a new improved contract if he did well in his first year. He had a good first year, scored 15 goals, but the contract offer got taken away. Eventually moved to West Ham and got called a greedy wotsit.
Think he was a scottish international as well. Been racking my brain and can't come up with who it was ?
