Played his role perfectly.0

RIP.
He is in the Arthurian legend film Excalibur as the King's step father
I saw the film when it came out in the 80's and again about a year ago. The problem is that he played Richard Buckett so well it looked strange to see him as a knight of the realm.0 -
Someone on Twitter said he has kicked the bouquet.
Appeared twice in Doctor Who and famous amongst Who fans for a certain interview in Doctor Who Magazine. RIP.1 -
Comes across as a bit of a prick there. RIP.1

I know you shouldn't talk I'll of the dead & maybe I should just say nothing.....but he comes over as a complete arse in that interview. Might have been a good actor but he didn't seem to be a decent person.0

My initial reaction was "oh that's a shame" but after reading that interview not so much.0

R.I.P. A fine actor. Going by those who actually knew him on twitter, a nice man too.0

I had such a soft spot for Richard as him and Hyacinth reminded me of my Grandparents, he was the long suffering one that you liked a lot.
Played the role brilliantly.

Genuine interview. He didn't have much time for Doctor Who despite appearing in it twice as it's all fans ever asked him about. He wanted people to recognise his other work too.0
