    Takeover

    LDT said much of the takeover was discussed last week (in last week's Fans' Forum) and there has been no big changes since then. He said that the owner’s demand had been submitted to the EFL and that they heard back that the EFL have received the request.

    He said RD is not willing to decrease the asking price. He said ideas are welcome from the Fans’ Forum to speed up the takeover process.

    SC asked about rumours in the press that an offer of £35m had been turned down.

    LDT said the only offers that have been refused have been ones where the new owners would pay rent for the stadium and training ground, which would have been separate from the club.

    LDT said there had been no £35m offer received for the club.

    LDT said RD is only looking to sell the club as a whole – training ground, stadium and the football club.

    So, in an optimistic way, we know that when RD goes, TD goes. IF there has been no offer of £35m and if any refused offer was for what we don't actually want (separate ground and club) then, as long someone comes along with £30m for the job lot........ Well, surely that's gonna happen soon!!

    That must have been a typo.

    Then we have a respected coach like Steve Gallen having to put a positive spin on Thomas Driesen, who to my amazement is still lingering like a bad smell.

    Why did nobody grill LVT about Duchatelets "demand" that the EFL buy us?
    No sane person could support that.

    Utterly depressing

    So we know that Thomas Driesen is still involved in player recruitment, and we can deduce from Steve Gallen's comments that we were paying way over the odds on player wages, which is Katrien's fault (she loves negotiating the deals she used to say). 

    But Roland's still blaming the Comms Team and the fans.

    And he won't negotiate on the price, but the price is unrealistic, so basically we're still gonna be stuck with him this time next year, unless we get promoted and the price becomes slightly better value for money. Depressing.

    I'd be pretty certain they did but it seems LdT is as deluded as RD about that one.

    I'd be pretty certain they did but it seems LdT is as deluded as RD about that one. 

    I'd like to have heard his exact answer to that straight question

    I understand that LDT was unusually morose at last Thursday's panto, indicating that he is fed up with the whole saga and hopes it will soon be over. 

    Wonder who RD might bring off the subs' bench if his chief negotiator walks away ?

    The mention of Driesen again is more than a kick in the teeth.

    Naively thought he was long gone.

    Someone with the experience and knowledge of Gallen really shouldn’t be having to liaise with Roland and Driesen.

    Have to wonder how long Gallen will put up with it and look for a better run club to take him on. Wouldn’t blame him one bit, yet would be one more superb person we lose.
