    I think thats a fair assesment, although Chris Iwelumo was a freebie (barring a signing on fee) and not £1m! :o)

    Great article and factually correct in every way, other than the big Chris fee.

    Maybe I should have made clear the terms of the big man's entire contract (wages) amounted to the £1m, which is why they were so keen to get rid in the summer. Oh the irony of seeing him score again for Wolves on Saturday!

    I will take it down though to avoid confusion and stick with Varney and McLeod who did have fees of over £1m.
