It was brilliant to see Headphones Norm given the Pride of The Valley award yesterday - he's a face you see on away days up and down the country.

Who else can be hailed as a Charlton 'face'?

I'll start - obvious one is Sebbo.
Assuming Headphones Norman is the fellow I think he is then he is the one for me.
If you've ever been to an away game then how can you be in any doubt as to who Headphones Norm is?

Not seen Sid this season, he was a regular at most away games for years .....not sure if he’s unwell or boycotting?

I know exactly who you're talking about. Didn't know his name, though. Ray, not Van Morrison, obviously.

Depends what you mean by faces, for me when I first started, it was people like Selwyn and Duncan etc, and the B-Mob

I think this is aimed more at the Charlton 'character'

Just read Headphones Norms write up on the website, got me wondering how many sets of headphones and radio playing devices he’s been through over the years?

He'll never pass the CL height test.
  • Lynne and Keith.

I sit infront of them at home games.

Lynne used to do confetti do throw up during RRR. It wasn't a home game if you didn't spend the first ten minutes picking it off your clothes and hair :-)

Always feels a bit strange if you don't see them at an away game.

    Proper Charlton.

So many of these characters being described I recognise from the away games. Feeling old!

For the younger generation, Madison. Probably not everyone’s cup of tea but a real character on the home and away scene for a number of years now and capable of some very funny stuff.

For a a shorter period of time in the mid to late 90s ‘Fat Robbie Fowler’ was a similar younger extrovert who used to raise regular laughs in the old Covered End
