My Dad used to work at Seimans where one of the processes of cable making was to cover the wire with plastic. So with a fair few Seimans employees on the coaches to Villa in the Cup 1962 (lost 2-1) we were all decked out in big F..k off plastic red and white rosettes. Made in their spare time of course 😜 and I bet @cabbles don't provide that service 😉.

The trouble with football shirts is that they shrink so much.
    Mesh
    Redbus
    Fads
All as bad as one another none of them come close to fitting me now.

Rosettes seen at the 25 years back at the Valley game in 1997, both club and protest versions.

No one over the age of 15 should be wearing a replica shirt. Retro England kits during major tournaments are the only exception.

Exactly that for me, just like one for beach or pool days.

Way I see it, football is a day out socialising with a few beers, for which your best attire, with the exception of maybe the footwear, should be worn.  I get a shirt pretty much every season but will only been seen wearing it football training or in the gym.

Never back in the day. Was all terrace designer clobber but in my old age I’m quite keen on a shirt or trackie top. Very pleased with my Hummel 1/4 zip training top

I've got a University of Greenwich home shirt from our glorious relegation season, which i wear around the house, but rarely out. Unless i just pop to the off licence or supermarket. Sunday was an exception though and i wore it shopping in the morning, while watching the game and down the pub afterwards. However, i caught a glimpse of myself in a couple of shop windows and it wasnt a pretty sight. Its hard to hide a beer gut in a football shirt! Ive now banned myself from wearing it outside.

I thought it was politically incorrect for anyone over 40 to wear a replica shirt. But I see that's been reduced to 15 now.

    So I'm out..........................by fifty years.

Grown men shouldn't be wearing football shirts.  Makes them look like nonces.
    You just won Charlton Life.

    Brilliant!!
