Whilst unable to go myself, I thought this may be useful for anyone looking for accommodation this weekend:

Used them for a weekend away at Folkestone a couple of weeks back, £55pp rather than the Hotel's own £80pp for two nights dinner, bed and breakfast. I haven't researched as to whether the savings are similar in Blackpool 'cos I ain't going but thought I'd mention it.

last time we ventured up there - we stayed here. http://www.brooklynhotel.co.uk/ they were very good to us - considering.

In fact, i doubt they'd entertain us again if we went up!

Having been on a stag do there this year (for the first time in 10 years), I swore never to go again ....
However, Charlton away, the need for good support ....... I'm rallying round some mates to go !0 -
If that away stand is still uncovered then that is going to be one of the coldest places on earth this saturday.0

Are many going up there Saturday? me and a few mates are still thinking about it, its always a good laugh up there after teh game, especially if we win!0

Yes the away stand will be like the antarctic again, no doubt (it was -6 degrees at 9 O'clock this morning 20 miles from Blackpool) and last year the weather was nearly as grim as the result!

Can't go (and to be honest even if I was here, I wouldn't...) Off to Senegal and the Gambia in the morning and will miss the Coventry game too. Back for Derby.

OK, Stonesroses. Two goals it was. What I remember better than the exact score was Pardew's excuse for letting in five goals. I recall it vividly . He said the back four were vulnerable because we were missing Kelly Youga !!!0

If/when you guys are up there, can someone go into "DelBoys" bar;
Hamish, the landlord, lost his license yesterday because he refused to give into this gov-er-ments "Anti smoking" ban. Would like to know whats going on if possible. Its about a 5 minute walk from the ground, near the seafront and the tram "Station". Thanks.0 -
