    He was superb leading the line for us, fantastic engine and fantastic attitude.

    He might have missed a few having charged all round the pitch up front often on his own, but scored some quality goals - at Spurs, v Leicester in the cup and a great home debut brace against Man Utd, etc.

    If he can still run, he'd do the job for us today.

    I used to call him 'Run Away' because it seemed to me that whenever there was a fifty/fifty ball to be challenged for he would stand still or often take a step backwards- something he obiviously taught Marcus Bent who took on this mantle when Barters left
