My dad who took me to my first Charlton game in 1974, shuffled off three years ago. Sunday 26th would have been his 82nd birthday, I will be wearing his Centenary Shirt on Sunday, for this very reason, we will win.27

Always wanted to go to Wembley with my dad, going to the games has always been our thing, but unfortunately he had a heart attack last week, thankfully he's ok and is recovering very well but can't take the stress of a game so can't come with me on Sunday.
Also meant he missed the second leg of the Play Offs which he was going to drive down for last week, it's probably best he didn't go that game as the stress of that game undoubtedly would have finished him off.5 -
Oh no. Sorry for your Dad to be missing it but glad to hear he is recovering. I hope you are not going to be too lonely on Sunday.4

Thanks everyone, he's doing very well. Will be with a couple of my dad's mates who go to games with us sometimes so won't be lonely, plus i'm in Block 530 with the rest of the squadron!6

Brian and Jean from the Star.
Different reasons but neither will be there.
Although Jean will be watching from up above I'm sure.
I hope Brian is able to watch it.
We're all standing on the shoulders of the addicks of yore.1 -
My daughter will not be there. She has a three week old baby, too young to leave with anyone. She was 10 when we were at Wembley before.4

My dad who is 82 and won't make it from Gravesend... Been a season ticket holder for years but gave up last year as the walk up from flloyd Road was too much for him. Will be watching with one eye as he is nervous watching us....2
