    What happens if clubs do start making bids, and he wants to go?

    I really hope he stays and gives us some loyalty, unlike Defoe. He even did the same to West Ham, soon as they were relegated he requested a transfer. I think everyone respects Darren Bent for just waiting to see if there was any interest, rather than demanding to leave.

    Players like Shelvey, Solly and Wright can play a big part in building a good team, I'd like to see them at least become regulars before leaving.

    To be honest you wouldn't expect Parky to say anything else other than we want to keep him. But all the time he's not near the first team, to me makes it more likely he'll get fed up and leave. It might not necessarily be the right thing for his career as every Charlton fan will believe he should stay and progress here but in most cases, if a bigger club with better players and facilities offer a young player more money then chances are he will go.
