A good selection of stalls down there actually:

"Medders' Photo Funshop" - a great selection of winter themed photos from around the world
"Ketters Kool Tunes" - Selling classics from greats such as Noddy Holder and East 17
"Goats by Gumbo" - a series of christmas sculptures made from clay and put into compromising situations
"CAFC_Bourne's Cider Shot" - Seasonal Cider made rom the best apples in Chatham, it blows your head off!
"Dicko's Dirtbag" - Christmas themed porn
  • Fishnetts is in the stocks we can throw wet sponges at him...

Never been myself but the Rochester mile on Christmas Eve is a sight to behold, most pissed people I have ever seen in several places all at the same time !

Been once before and TBH found it unbearable mainly cos we got there late and it was so crowded. Missus went last year and loved it so we're going tomorrow - early!!
  • It's a Dickensian themed Christmas jolly. Entertainers, people dressed in Dickensian period clothes, carol concerts, stalls and lots of ho ho ho. and mulled wine. Our friends come up from Portsmouth to go to it so it has its admirers. I just hate the crowds but if you like this sort of thing, it won't disappoint. Beats an open rusting stand in windswept Pool that's for sure.
  • Have been in previous years and its a good one for the young and families. gets very busy so would suggest grabbing food either before or avoiding typical lunchtime. the parade and snow goes down well so start practising those carols!

One of my daughters participated in it a few years back.

It is worth seeing but as others have said it does get very crowded and parking is an absolute nightmare.
  • It's very good would also recommend a craft shop down there that makes wooden tox boxes with hand painted designs and children's names on them all of my kids have had them as christmas presents before they are the nuts. Also little wodden chairs can still picture Northstandjoe on christmas day sitting in his watchin the teletubbies on video.

I've hated it since I used to get dragged down there as a kid.

Besides that morris dancers scare the shit out of me.
