Bouazza trouble

just spoke to Golfie. At end of the game Bouazza was getting a bit of stick from the travelling 321 and he stuck two fingers up at them. A lot of unimpressed fans apparently.

    Bouazza did mouth of to some of us, and did stivk up the v, but he should have been concentratingting on his gamel The fella is an idiot, and I for one have had enuff of it

    I remember a "home game" at West Ham, after a bad game the players were walking off when a few turned on Simon Webster He ran over to us and gave as good as he got, then stuck his fingers up and walked off shaking his head. It showed he cared, which is what we wanted to see.

    It's not all bad news- I went to see Gillingham play for the first time this season and THEY won- so at least I have seen a team win at home this season (I know we have won at home but I'm being ironic!)

    Simon Webster when we lost to Bury in the league cup at Upton Park wanted to take on the whole end, Mark Aizlewood when he scord gave the covered end two fingers and from then on went on too be a outstanding player

    the thing is the supporters pay good money to travel to games, the players are professional and get good money. I was pissed of listening to it let alone travelling hundreds of miles.

    Bouazza shouldn't have done it but without knowing what was being said hard to say if he was provoked. Still shouldn't have done it.

    And if it was good enough for Webster and Robinson then fair enough. What I don't understand is why those two would have re-acted to a crowd in that way when we know that in the good old days all the players gave 100% and were all universally loved and admired for it by us fans. Or is that a rather rosy picture some like to paint of the past.

    The good news that Bouazza is so at home in our culture that he gave a V sign, which I've always thought of as an English thing (Agincourt and all that) rather than a finger or whatever the French/Moroccan gesture is.

    If our fans were giving Bouazza some stick specificly targeted at him I think that's a little harsh...admittedly I wasn't there yesterday but whereas he hasn't exactly set the place on fire, he has at least been one of the few who I would say has been giving it a reasonable go on an ongoing basis.
    Not our worst player by any means.

    I'll be controversial on this one. Good for Bouazza, that's what I'd say (though admittedly I wasn't there and haven't seen it). I'd rather see someone with a bit of agression and passion in the team than someone who doesn't care.

    Fully agree with the comments about fans who can't take it. It doesn't matter whether you've paid or whether he's a professional. The bottom line is that everyone is a human being, if you can't take it don't dish it out. And stop hiding behind the fact that you had to spend money to be there, it's irrelevant.

    Wasn't the travelling 321 that prompted it, rather one particular 'supporter' who felt the way to get the team playing better was to hurl mindless abuse at any white shirted player who came within ear shot in the second half. Buzz just go sick of it I suspect, especially as the fans had been pretty much silent throughout so can hardly claim to be showing any more passion than the players. Was well within his rights to have a bit of a go back imo.
