    What they will do is £5-12M for him in 1-2 years as a transfer fee. That's what galls me. It's been said he will make £20k/week there. The fact the signing seemed in limbo for so long, I wonder if even £15-17.5k/week would have kept him here. It would have been such a good move to secure him at any price, not just for the ability to keep us up, but because if he large embedded profit this time next year in doing so.

    Apparently rumours in Newcastle that Gerrard might be tipped to take the Magpies job. Wouldn't that be a kick in the face to Aribo's development! The manager who convinced you to not sign in England... leaves for England.

    Why ? He’s already made a poor career choice but it would be churlish to suggest that Rangers couldn’t get a better manager

    Good luck to Joe. Whether people like to admit it or not playing for Rangers will give him a bigger stage than playing for Charlton in the Championship, especially if, at the the time of leaving, he wouldn't have had a clue about the state of the team/club in the forthcoming season.
    If he does well and I fully expect him to do so, then there will be no shortage of Premier League clubs knocking on his door in the near future.

    Football doesn't  work like that I'm afraid old chum.  No club would pay an individual player 4 times what his team mates are getting just so they might be able to sell him for a vast profit sometime in the future. That's why sell-on clauses are added. Clubs don't take the risk now & hope to get a proportion of the bigger fee later.

    That's a bit fanciful. Bowyer was only slightly better than Gerrard.

    Joe Aribo will be class playing up there. Its dirtier but less physical than the championship. Unfortunately like loads of others have said its such a pathetic standard of football I'd be astounded if he was there for his whole contract, someone will pick him up in England and before we know it we can watch another of our players doing the business for someone else in the same league as us or above. Yay.

    Dushitalot is such a moron. With his backing we could have genuinely kicked on when he came in, that squad under Chris Powell just needed a twist of quality added to it, that's all. It didnt need ripping apart and Powell certainly didnt deserve to be sacked. 

    I can't have the energy to be anymore pissed off than I have been for the last 5 years, the rancid old turd told us all what he was going to do and the arsehole has stuck by it.

    Played in Rangers 5-0 win against Oxford United yestersay.
    JOE ARIBO: The 22-year-old midfielder, who arrived from Charlton Athletic for a £300,000 fee last month, started the game. He was a physical presence in the middle of the park, showed great pace going forward and good close control. He sclaffed a half-chance in the Oxford penalty area in the first-half. Early days, but he looks destined to become something of a cult hero.

    It was a massive missed opportunity not backing Powell and allowing him to build on what we had - which was pretty good. You can chart missed opportunity after missed opportunity in recent years. The jury is out on Wembley - we have managed to keep Bowyer, for a season, but will we look back on another missed opportunity?

    Same direction, different pay checks. I honestly think Fosu will do well back under KR and earn a Championship move.

    Aribo I hope does well, but still not sure he'll progress that much up there and will probably end up back in the Championship.

    I think the opposite actually. Fosu isn’t going anywhere fast, he’s far too inconsistent. Aribo has all the tools to be a Premier League player within a couple of years.

    Makes me laugh, when Premier/Championship clubs look for players in League 1 or below they are said to be 'looking in the lower leagues'. When Scottish Premier teams look at players in these leagues, that phrase doesn't get used. Think that says it all!
