Before the Russian turned up Chelsea tried to raise big money by having a group called The Chelsea Pitch Owners. Im not sure what their level of investment was, but could we try it ? How about 1,000 (thats a hell of alot) fans puting in £5,000 = (£5 mil) ? Would people risk it ? after what Dowie and Pardew did with bigger money . Would enough peple have the balls to do what the board have done with the prospect of geting f**k all back ?

We did it ourselves before ---- with no big backers ----- could we do it ourselves again ?

To be honest GH .... right now, no .... unless we get to choose what we spend the £5m on ...... I don't trust they'd do right based on the last 2 years of signings ......!

I would be up for buying new shares in the club particularly if this was for investment in the squad. Not sure if there would be any more takers to make this worthwile for the club.

I remember when it happened at Chelsea a lifelong supporter told me he'd have nothing to do with it as he felt his money would be going into Mr.Bates' pockets rather than the club's and that there was no guarantee that the club/team would directly benefit. Not saying that would happen with us but in football money has a funny habit of disappearing.

Could be that Swisdom was referring to the internet aspect of managing the 'Fleet rather than the transport perspective.
