    id like 2 see the old Doom and Gloom back open with the outside temp bar open-- band on in the evening. See the old faces in there and outside pre and after the game.

    although the Anchor on a warm night with a few peeps outside for a sing song is hard to beat.

    Royal oak. Where i shall be Boxing day sporting a fine moustache.
  • Blackheath Rugby Club's a nice alternative. No more than a 10 min walk to the ground.
  • maybe Robbo,
    but full of egg chasers ?

    Tony still runs it as a party there the other week. but if there was a match on the same day they would charge you to go in?

    I flitter between all the usual suspects mentioned, but the truth is i'm not fully comfortable in any of the ones on offer, which is a real shame.

    LOL...no worries mate
  • The Rose of Denmark and the Anchor are the only reasonably places left if, like me, you're not keen on "clubs." The RoD can be hit and miss to get into (round the back) after games and the Anchor is just a tad too far on anything other than a warm day. Huge gap in the market for a proper "home" pub.
  • Since the H&G gone I normally float between the White Horse on the Woolwich Road, the Royal Oak when under duress or incapable of making the Woolwich Road and the Liberal - shame really, it's nice to have one haunt but as AFKA says none of the very limited choice really does the job
  • Spoke to "my" people at the ConClub yesterday;

    Said it would be okay to have a "Charlton-Life" drink in there after the Norwich cup match,
    and they will even waive the £2 fee !!!

    Hope to see some of you there (please wear name badges).

    ;-)

    Rose of Denmark, along with Brian Cole and Glynne Jones, never had a problem getting in after games
