He won't cost us millions, will fill the left back slot, has a wealth of experience at all levels of the game and you could argue that he has a reasonable affinity with the Club. His name............
CHRIS POWELL

I think your heart is ruling your head here.0

Let's get Dean Kiely back while we are at it...
Most of Chris Powell's performaces last year were less than stellar, and other than a goal vs Coventry very forgettable it'd be good to have his experience around but not as a player.0 -
lol probably but he has played 17 games for Leicester this season and I doubt that they would be in the position we're in on their current form.0

That's the thing we're not looking for stellar - we're looking for a guiding light on the pitch.0 -
Bring back Powell- where have all the characters gone?0

Kins is still here. Chappell too.
And Killer on matchdays, if you buy him a drink.0 -
What about Paddy? I'm sure Pee Wee is there on occasions as well.0

Bob Bolder and Johnny H are around on match days too and I know Johny H knows Colin Pates0

Promoted pre season to Player Development Coach (although he probably won't end up playing) the following is taken from the Leicester website:
"A big part of Powell's presence was his role as mentor to the younger players and that valuable aspect of the job will be repeated.
He said: "I am there also to talk to the players. We do have a young squad and the majority are new to the Championship. I will be travelling with the team, speaking to them quietly which was what I was doing last year, maybe pulling aside some of the younger boys and telling them what to expect and I think it worked.
"I think the boss felt I had a role to play and I want to become a coach/ manager in the future. I don't see a better place for me to learn."
Leicester are now joint top of the Championship and have also let in just 2 goals in their last 6 games. I'd like to think that Chris has contributed to that success in being a positive influence and that he is well on the road to fulfilling his ultimate goal. Who knows maybe that will be with us one day.0
