Nice. Are this lot meant to be good? Sounds like it from those two wins in isolation. Under 18’s would be 17yr olds right? If so would have signed pro terms and cant walk for nowt?0

They’ll all be on youth contracts, some will never get a pro deal. If an English club signs them we’ll get minimal compensation like we did for Kasey Palmer, see the EPPP page:

I assume we get even less if they move abroad like Sarmiento did.1 -

I don't think Freddie Barton cuts it as a name in the 2020s.
Frederico Barton-Monteque should do it.0 -

It was a draw. Apparently we were outplayed and Barnsley would have gone two up but missed a pen just before ht.0

Given our previous match was lost to a goal by a 16yo, are there any in this squad capable of making an early step-up. I am sure Sarmiento, perhaps Willis would be involved if still with us.0

A penalty five minutes from time ensured that Charlton’s U18s kept their unbeaten start to the season going as they shared a 1-1 draw with local rivals Millwall at Sparrows Lane on Saturday.

The U18's sit second in the table (by 1 point) after a good 2-1 win in Cardiff. Aaron Henry and Billy French scored the goals. They are the only undefeated team in U18s category 2 football (North and South).7

Sounds promising. Imagine our first team squad now, a takeover of the club by someone with deep pockets and a couple of these lads bursting onto the scene at the same time...! Does anyone here watch them play? Any Joe Gomez / KAG type talents there?0

I saw them in pre-season away v Eastbourne United. We had some promising players, but no one stood out in the way I remember Shelvey did when I saw him in those type of games. Defenders and goalkeepers it's a bit harder to judge as they were only up against non-league players. I won't be expecting any of them to be in and around the first team in the next year or two like others in the past have been.1
