    With nearly 2,000 fans making a lot of noise constantly for 90+ minutes it will seem like Charlton are at home so the Rocket must be reserved for us...

    Eight Bells currently closed. King’s Arms just up the road doing a great bacon sandwich and has the rugby on.

    Well that was a mission, rocket wouldn't let us in, boathouse took too long to get served so currently in Kings Arms.

    So  where so where did everyone drink in the end?

    we managed to get in the Rocket pre and post match. Nice glass fronted setting on the river. Were being strict letting people in, we were lucky while the doorman dealt with a group in front we just marched in with a confident ‘morning’. After game just went straight to a side door instead.

    could not get in the rocket so went in the boathouse for a pre match pint of Guinness.

    Can’t remember the name of it but sat outside a pub by the river and watched the boats come in. Definitely goes to top of my list of pre-match places to have a pint before a game. If Fulham also get promoted this season then that’s where I’m headed for next season as well.

    forgot to mention, it even seemed to have a club for those that like to row...perfect for Charlton Life members, there’s always arguments on here. We could even set up a joint club meet next time...

    If that’s a normal size door then i’d have been sussed straight away as too tall when they did  the height test
