Bailey, Captain?

I make this suggestion quite tentatively and it's based on the observation that all the instruction from the bench seems to be going to Nicky Bailey rather than Hudson. Also, given the diabolical state of our defence, surely the captains responsibility should be given to someone in midfield?

I like Bailey as a player, I thought he played really well today.

Fair one, he played well today but I still see Hudson as the leader I think Nicky Bailey needs to concentrate on his football before skippering a side just yet

Bailey's drop in form earlier this season was put down by Pards to Nicky wanting to shoulder too much of the responsibility for how badly we were playing and trying to do everyone else's job as well as his own. so making him captain might have the same effect.

Definitely a potential captain when he has more experience though.
  • I think he seems to have improved under the Parky regime although I wonder if that has something to do with Mark Kinsella. He definitely needs more experience but I hope he becomes that thing we desperately need... a Charlton hero.
  • Not sure Bailey is the answer but I feel pretty let down by Hudson's captaincy ability when the going has got tough to be honest, not to mention his own individual mistakes.

    'Cos another ex-palarse signed him.
  • Seems to me this obsession that any Palace connection makes a player / manager not good enough for us as being ridiculous and just a bit unhealthy.

    Agreed.

Chris Powell shouldn't come back as a coach or manager then?
