We waited for 55 minutes now an exciting rugby match has arrived.0

You have to think that England in yesterday’s form will wipe the floor with either of these two.1
-
If we're in the same form as yesterday we'll wipe the floor with anyone and everyone.Sillybilly said:You have to think that England in yesterday’s form will wipe the floor with either of these two.0 -
Mention the word 'England' and Wales find another three or four gears. South Africa are always competitive.Sillybilly said:You have to think that England in yesterday’s form will wipe the floor with either of these two.
Tough either way but at least we are there and in with a chance.0 -
Lack of discipline will cost Wales dear.0
-
I’d rather see England spank a full strength South Africa in the final and show that they are the best team in this tournament by a country mile than beat an injury ravaged Wales. It will just feel more complete.3
-
England v SA it is then. If we play like we did against NZ we should win.0
-
Excellent. Now Wales can watch us win the World Cup. Again.7
-
What a bloody shame....3
-
South Africa have done the rest of the World a huge service. Wales winning the world cup would be unbearable13

Yep, I’m delighted Wales lost. Thought they gave it a good shot but it wasn’t the best game, we should win it but can’t afford to be complacent, South Africa are capable of much better then what we just watched.1

Saved us a bore fest in the media next week and professional Taffs coming out of the woodwork everywhere.Pelling1993 said:South Africa have done the rest of the World a huge service. Wales winning the world cup would be unbearable7 -
Problem solved for both of us!Huskaris said:
I'm in a similar boat. Got 2 Welsh friends here who have come from Wales for the weekend, and my partner is Welsh.robinofottershaw said:Big day in our household. Wife is a huge Welsh rugby fan. If they beat South Africa the final next week it could cause a few tensions. We might have to watch in separate rooms.
Drunkenly promised yesterday that if Wales win today, I will go to Cardiff to watch the final at theirs!1 -
Two average teams, neither could really complain if they lost0

Wales were in a great position near the end but that penalty cost them massively. I think South Africa edged a so so game.0
-
SA look strong defensively, de Allende very powerful, Pollard good on conversions and de Klerk is an excellent scrum half.
Looking forward to it but I believe we are too strong for them.1 -
Hate rugby but glad Wales lost cos they wish the same on us as do the other celts.1
-
Don't care about/hate rugby but when it comes to choosing a finalist to support, only one of these teams has a player with the same name as me (in Afrikaans)0

This. 100%.Pelling1993 said:South Africa have done the rest of the World a huge service. Wales winning the world cup would be unbearable0 -

As things stand, we have seen very little to bother us, they would appear to be significantly off the pace.......today’s game was pretty leisurely compared to ours.
If we play at the speed of thought and intensity we showed against NZ, then it’s going to be our name on the trophy.0 -
You’ve clearly not been reading this thread as there are at least two Scots rooting for England.Chippycafc said:Hate rugby but glad Wales lost cos they wish the same on us as do the other celts.1 -
Well that's a first, having lived up there for 6 years, you have more chance of seeing a yeti. I always rooted for the home countries until I personally witnessed and was subject to anti English bile when it comes to sports... Never heard of the term anyone but England.Sillybilly said:

I sympathise mate. I’m the other way round. I’ve lived down here since ‘86 and have been subjected to endless “banter”. You develop a certain resilience after a while. But it doesn’t stop recognising the best team and England are the best team in this tournament by a country mile and therefore in my book, banter aside, they deserve to win it.Chippycafc said:

I think South Africa have got several more levels in them from this performance0

Yes it did get a bit nasty at times but not from my part. Funny I am now on a 12 hour shift and one of the security guys who works along side us comess from Dumfries. When I asked him, do you want England to win, his reply was I am not shouting for them but not against them...He seemed genuine enough.Sillybilly said:

Reporting from Taupo, New Zealand. All Black fans said to be going through the various stages of grief. A comment yesterday that the result could actually affect the result of next years General Election (sense of well-being etc).0
