    A nation of hyperchondriacs - there's a Pharmacie on every corner ....... and you don't even need an appointment to see a Doctor.

    There's usually a small gathering of locals standing outside our local funeral parlour, reading the notice board on who kicked the bucket over night

    If you still feel you need a check over and you cannot see your doctor 111 can advise you where the nearest walk in centre is. But 111 is really mainly for the out of hours service, though they do offer advice ( mostly generic) and further assistance ( if it’s potentially serious) 24/7. 
    Hope that helps a bit. But I suspect the advice will be to see how you are in a week or so, in the hope that it clears up on its own.
    Hope you feel better soon anyway.

    I asked for recommendations for box sets etc when I was down to have dialysis a few years ago and got absolute pelters, luckily enough I had a new kidney put in 5 weeks later, so wouldn't have got the watch to watch the recommendations that everyone kindly DIDN'T give me anyway.

    Good old British humour, love it

    I had a strange condition once where every time I sneezed I had an orgasm. The doctor asked me if I was taking anything for it. I told him: snuff.

    On a more serious note, the only advice I can remember from my doctor is, 'never take Lemsip, it's a complete waste of money'. Apart from costing more than similar medicines, it's less effective because you never get a proper dose by sipping it.

    You asked for a solution and I gave you one. Then you say that taxi lads response was sensible and he hasn’t got an answer. Strange.

    I'm just wondering if it might be anything to do with putting the heating on (if you have been)? I get the same symptoms when we first do in the Autumn - probably due to the dust on the radiators heating up.

    I thought the same last night, but then forgot to post it.
    The heat dries out your sinuses blocking your nose and dries out your eyes making them itchy or sore.
    Turn the heating down and put more clothes on.
    Use eye drops to moisten eyes & a Vicks inhaler to clear the nose :smile:

    Try cutting out dairy products for a while.  Historically, I have suffered with my sinuses with a blocked nose and itchy eyes.  I was addicted to decongestant sprays.  Since cutting out dairy I haven’t suffered a blocked nose and haven’t used a decongestant spray in months.  Might be worth a try.

    Sounds a bit like one of our dogs. Friday he looked like he had a bit of hay fever except his nose was t blocked because he kept sneezing. The vet gave him a steroid injection and, touch wood, that seems to have sorted him out. If the doc is still busy, get yourself along to the vet.

    Guess what ? Son has his girlfriend round, who was cold.
    So we turned the heating up.
    My eyes are itching and my nose is blocked !
