I'm not even sure Pearson dived, I think he just slipped

Keith Andrews absolutely shredding the ref for giving a free kick against us there. Cheers Keith

Pearson had no contact there and went down. Shocking free kick.

Paul Parker did the same on Radio London.

Worst I have seen this season. Formation and personnel changes needed at half time. Leko on. Kayel off. Gallagher deeper.

Can anyone remember the last time we played well on a lunch time kick off?

Kayal is very good when we have possession. We haven’t been able to bring him in enough.

Think hes slightly too deep though.
  • Too deep. Too negative.  Too respectful.

PNE are good but we are making them look like Real Madrid.

Down the left, run into trouble, pass it back, lose it. Ad infinitum

Pratley needs to be careful, 1 more foul and he is booked and misses Millwall

This isn't too bad. Preston are high up the table for a reason. They press relentlessly. But they're without their best player and they'll tire, and then we'll unleash Leko on them. Could take off Sarr for a midfielder or forward but apart from a dodgy five minutes I don't think he's been the weak link. All the defenders have had dodgy moments and Solly doesn't look quite up to it today, Deji for him would be my first change

Well that was weird. My feed crapped out for a few seconds, and when it came back the pictures were about 2secs behind the sound, so I had the crowd shouting for a handball when the ball was on the deck.

Naby's a favourite of mine, he's doing the tough bits fine but struggling with the easy stuff.

Not great but holding our own. Bonne is isolated up front & need support. Saying that the midfield is doing well & best players are Kayal, Gallagher & Pratley. Sarr shaky but so is Solly. Think we will lose this by the odd goal.
  • We’ve matched up with them. Trouble is they’re better at it and, if we carry on I can see us losing. We probably need to take a risk with the formation if we want to win. Leko for Sarr and 4-4-1-1?

This is what I would do I think. We have been poor and the tactics have also been poor. Fortunately for us Preston have also been poor as well.

If we want to win I think maybe got 4 at the back and the diamond and get Leko running at the BFG.

    VFF:

If Gallagher plays any deeper, he would be back with the Centre Backs. Kayel had a few promising passes but faded. Preston's midfield winning the midfield battle and pressing Charlton back. Not sure Leko on will help the midfield battle.

Charlton missing Jonny Williams & Field in the middle. Naby Sarr having a shaky game.

In Bowyer and JJ we trust.  If Preston had their shooting boots on and made more of their positions then Charlton might have struggled. Charlton still in it. That's the main thing.

Enjoying this so far. Kayal looked great early doors but seems to have gone missing of late. Gallagher and Pratley playing blinders so far, good work from Agent Naby crocking their guy. PNE have created a few chances but struggling to get anything on target. We’ve looked dangerous when in their box.

Well that was fairly dire. We actually look dangerous when we do attack but too much faffing about at the back. Expect Leko to be on soon. PS I think Andrew Muir is here watching from row F in the west lower. Four rows from the front near the halway line. I have a couple of photos and will confirm later.

Dont think we can talk of Gallaghers dive lol, he even said sorry to the Preston player after haha
  • Little disjointed at times, but enjoying it. Ref ok too. Just about keeping up with Preston who have a little more slickness but poor finishing so far. Could go either way.
  • Playing Cullen on the left side of midfield not helping.

Would be good if Bonne had some help up front.

But have to say football on a Sunday lunchtime is not a good time to play.

But Pearce and Lockyer have had terrible moments too, that's fact not delusion! Lockyer straight up let them in by falling over and Pearce air-kicked a cross in front of goal. They've all had bad moments and good moments. Sarr's bad moments tend to come when he's trying to do something tricky in possession so they look worse though. I hope he never changes!
