Don't like Sarr next to Purrington
Think Sarr is fine with Purrington it's when he's been in the same side as Pearce he struggles.

That was pretty poor . Hopefully we step it up kicking towards the covered end in the second half . Preston should be leading so I’ll take 0-0 at half time. Sarr is giving me kittens .
  • We are 2nd to every ball
And we have got to stop all this fannying around in our own area sooner or later we will make a mistake and they will pounce

The xG boffins say Charlton 0.35 - 0.98 Preston
  • Deji and Leko for Sarr and Solly.

How much does Charlton get per home Sky game shown live ?
  • Terrible first half - defence is having an off day and our passing has been pretty woeful.

Too many balls punted aimlessly to Bonne.

Preston look well organised and a decent side.
  • Strange half of football; some spells of fine passing and well-carved-out chances in amongst a lot of dodgy stuff.

The visitors have just shaded possession but most of their efforts at goal have been from distance. Dillon's had to make a couple of good saves from close range when the ball has somehow worked its way across our six-yard box.

At the other end we haven't created too much; the move has tended to break down before the shooting opportunity has arrived.

Will we unleash Leko for the last 20-25 minutes or bring on Ozzie to unpick the Preston defence?

I'm still confident we can go on to win this.

But Pearce and Lockyer have had terrible moments too, that's fact not delusion! Lockyer straight up let them in by falling over and Pearce air-kicked a cross in front of goal. They've all had bad moments and good moments. Sarr's bad moments tend to come when he's trying to do something tricky in possession so they look worse though. I hope he never changes!
    You hope he never improves?

I like that Kayal has been putting in some very decent passes. If Bonne can keep going he'll score again today. Dead Cert.

Can anyone remember the last time we played well on a lunch time kick off?
    Fulham was lunchtime wasn't it?

I hope he never stops trying to play football. Maybe sometimes he could lump it forward rather than do keepy-uppies (like for his booking) but he wouldn't have injured Johnson otherwise ;)

It's always been the case - the skipper always drifts to the left side of the three which is where the Enforcer is and it affects BeckenSarr more than Pearce.

Put Naby in a three with Prats and BFG II and he's fine.

(And yes, I'm a fully-paid up member of the Naby Sarr Fan Club alongside Leuth!)

In case he accidentally takes him out?

For someone who’s meant to be our best defender on the ball he doesn’t half make me nervous every time he has it.

Looks like you all got your wish. Let's see if it works - we need more up front for sure

Good sub. If you can beat Bauer anywhere it’s in behind.

  • Sarr off,Leko on
  • Hmm ... Prats back into the back three or a switch to the diamond?

Leko on for Sarr, probably a good call. Naby settled down as the half went on but he's on a yellow and we need more players up top to bridge the gap between defence and attack
