I know this isn't a thread about our title winning season but another one can't go without mention

Winning 3-2 away at Yeovil on boxing day we won the league that day
Very true... Didnt get bloody wet at Yeovil for once if I remember rightly!!

Two previous visits involved the memorable downpour and a lesser soaking in the terraces

Lewis Hamilton has had a pretty good run of form this decade.

The Olympics (2012) were fantastic, as were the Paralympics, but for me the last 20 minutes of the Cricket World Cup final was something I could watch over and over again. One more magical moment, Gemma bloody Collins hitting the deck on Dancing on Ice, gets better every time I see it.
  • Charlton promotion successes - tick.
Leicester winning Premier League - tick.
Ben Stokes's metamorphosis into IT Botham - tick.

Here's another one of my favourites: an obscure one for most on here ...

West Coast winning the 2018 AFL Grand Final against Collingwood.

West Coast were the higher ranked side, had already beaten the Magpies twice that season (first at the MCG in the regular season and then in Perth in the first week of the play-offs) but everything was in the Pies' favour: home ground advantage, majority of the crowd on their side (and the umpires!), the league rather having a Victorian side winning instead of an "outsider".

The Pies kicked the first five goals of the game but the Eagles came back into it and kicked the winning goal inside the last two minutes in one of the best Grand Finals for many a year.

It has been some decade and there are many contenders.
On a personal level BFG 94 takes some beating, but for me 2012 was the year.
First there was Wiggins winning the Tour de France, then the Olympics and especially that Saturday night.
I never thought that could be beaten until the Miracle of Medinah - for me the most gripping, tense, exciting, unforgettable sports coverage I have ever witnessed in my 62 years on this planet.
