Id say both. I went to uni in Edinburgh, and the Scots are very much the same but different (similarities very much revolving around drinking and putting a lot of effort into taking the piss out of things)0

Don't think many Welsh or Scottish would class themselves as British.
Anyone asks when I'm on holiday where I'm from my answer is always London, south London.
