She probably thought she was signing off on an order for puppies or kittens or most probably something from dfs...I am sure the fact that she was arrogantly clueless will be her mitigation

Probably why they employed her in the first place

If she appears to have her say, will it be in the form of a powerpoint presentation?

    She banned Fanny.

  • She banned Fanny.

Didn't have a squirrel's face on it so understandably verboten. ;)

I've heard the RFU and ECB are absolutely furious and considering taking the FA to court. They want to know why her ban would only be extended to football. You know, just in case.
  • She still had a nice arse
Which she spent a great deal of time talking out of.
    Ffs, best ever @SoundAsa£

No she didn't, as for the bangers though......................

Was threatened by the truth and honesty.

I suspect this helps to explain something than I'm sure puzzled most of us for a while. Why did Wednesday employ her? Well I suppose if you are an owner/chairman and you intend to do some dodgy stuff, she actually makes sense as a choice as CEO. Whatever you do, she will back you and help you and you get a clean bottom to boot!

    Same reason RD employed her.
A useless do as she's told. Fool.

Looks like she will need all of her legal skill to get out of this one!

Let’s hope she tries then as that’ll end up with a custodial sentence when they had intended only a £500 fine

When you're doing bird, and some lag spits in your porridge. Do you go and complain to the manager??

Once she’s completed the negotiations it’ll be a 5k fine!
  • Meire's response has been to say that 98% of the EFL are delighted with the way in which the sale of the stadium was handled
  • Fuck me, there is a God.

I never met her in person.

Wouldn't know what that was like.

Best to just see someone as rather stupid...instead of finding them offensive. In my opinion.

She was just laughable. End of.

Didn't know what she was doing.
If you somehow end up in a job which you don’t know what you’re doing in, then be open to learning on that job.

Many of us here have probably been employed or promoted to a role in which we weren’t ready or best suited. But we would ensure we dropped any ego and embraced those in experience around us.

Meire continued to do the opposite.

And she didn’t care that she may be destroying something that took over a hundred years to build.

Ill never ever forget standing in west stand car park during one of the post-match protests, and she stood by that window watching/smirking/laughing. Other people in that position would have stayed away from the window, but she revelled in it.

That’s not a person that didn’t know what they were doing, as you say.
    Not me.

Whenever I have been given a job I wasn't competent to do I usually act the part, blame other people for my mistakes, cover up as much as I can then go sick at key moments before finally leaving before I'm pushed and going on to another job I'm not competent to do.  It's exhausting and stressful, but what can you do?  I'm too lazy to be a labourer.
  • ...and that is what I think she has been doing btw.

So according to Sheff W, the EFL knew about the timing of the sale and agreed it was acceptable.
They say they have the evidence to prove this.

The claim they do but I bet they don't! Why not just publish it now and embarrass the EFL.
  • If that is the case, the EFL will have to issue a grovelling apology.

Meiregate will now take up so much of the EFLs time that the takeover approval will remain pending, East Street group will buy St Truiden instead, KM proven innocent and we remain stuck with Roland.

Wow, that reads like a statement that they want to make sound like it was written by a lawyer when it wasn't.

Doesn't address the key issue. EFL haven't said the sale and lease back were "unlawful". They are charging SWFC for deliberately putting it in the wrong set of accounts to dodge a points deduction.

But in her case, it wouldn't have sounded like it was written by a lawyer when it was

I just read the article on the athletic. So it’s either a 21 point deduction or automatic relegation. No wonder they trying to fight it.
