Purely a guess but I would think a delay might be because of obtaining additional/ supporting evidence from the UAE. If it’s purely workload then that’s outrageous.

Bob Munro is a high ranking exec at a football league club.

He probably deals with the EFL every week.

    He says it's definitely happening.

    So that means it's off
I've just rung the EFL and asked for the Chief Exec.

They asked who's calling and I said "Bob" - they then said "Bob who?" to which I replied "Bob Munro". They then said "Bob Munro who?"

Make of that what you will.

How many weeks are we at now?

    2 and a half.
  • I know the situations are different, only stating what I read.

Maybe we're in for a longer wait than some might think.

RD wants the extra income from half season ticket sales after EFL approval.

    It's not workload.
  • So if it's not the EFL's workload and Roland is about to have a rant about the EFL then what is the issue?.

IF, and it's a big IF, the EFL are dragging their heels to get their own back at Roland, having a public rant is probably NOT the most constructive move

I'm not saying they're deliberately delaying it but I can imagine that some of the EFL staff may not be exactly busting a gut to help little ole Roland dispose of his asset.  Hoping it goes through at least on 2nd or 3rd so that we don't miss too much of the window

I'm not sure about that, if say £50m has been agreed then he won't then get £50m + a few gate receipts and half STs.

ESI have told the EFL to wait until January 1st as that's the month when all Charlton takeovers happen.

The EFL do not believe they have received what they would need to sign off the deal at this point. It's not been rejected, it just hasn't been accepted. No detail beyond that.

I think we can all assume that the EFL haven't received everything they need, otherwise it would be done.
(Unless we're suggesting they have everything and it's sitting in pending) .

We are not the only.club the EFL has to work work, so yes it is workload, and they are more stringent than ever before due to the recent events at Bury.
  • Lack of source of funding clarity is my guess.
