  • Muir has nicked the bank statements to buy time for a late counter bid.
  • Purely a guess but I would think a delay might be because of obtaining additional/ supporting evidence from the UAE. If it’s purely workload then that’s outrageous.
    It's not workload.
    So what is it?
The EFL do not believe they have received what they would need to sign off the deal at this point. It's not been rejected, it just hasn't been accepted. No detail beyond that.
Do you know if its a case of they have seen some evidence on an issue but havent been satisfied it or they havent been given any evidence on that issue at all?

impossible question to get a definite answer to.The Rat had the funds but didnt mean he would invest.

I wonder how far they looked into the Chelsea owners source of funding? Mind you when he put "Putins bag man" down it would have made most people tick the box

Would it happen to be the same sort of paperwork that the aussies failed to come up with by any chance?

Just our luck to find the EFL all of a sudden hot on ethics.

    Source of funding.... OIL

    Simples!!!!
  • These new owners seem amateur with their approach

Just fill a brown envelope with a ton of money and slide it under the door - Simple!!
  • Oh dear, it would be a shame if this process does go on into January and impacts on the ability to strengthen the squad.
  • I just want it done, this waiting game is just not fun anymore.
  • Banks in the UAE follow the same anti money laundering rules as most of the rest of the world, so it shouldn't be too difficult to obtain a letter from the appropriate UAE bank certifying the source of the funding to be used.

There will, however, be a process involved in getting such a letter issued which will probably take a period of time to complete. Such documents tend to be signed off at a pretty high level in the bank, so it is not going to just happen. Hopefully we are just waiting for this certification to be completed.

Fun had been thin on the ground for 6 years

Our travel business has to get a proof of funds statement to submit to the CAA. Usually takes about 8-12 weeks...
  • So why is Roland about to have a rant about the EDL then?

But he did though. Very badly, but he's covered 5 years of heavy losses.

Throughout the shambles of his ownership, we've always paid the bills which is more than can be said for many other owners

Because if they'd had done as rigorous check on him, he never would have been allowed to enter into this nightmare in the first place!
  • So why is Roland about to have a rant about the EDL then?
    Because he's a cunt

Couldn't have put it better myself 😉

They're just waiting for Nimer to provide the 3 numbers on the rear of his credit card, to make sure it's actually him.

Isn't the end of the Belgian Tax year on the 1st of Jan

If it is, that's why Roland is sweating and building himself up for a rant

    Disagree.

    Most owners pay the bills.

Only a few don't and if can't they sell the club's.

Other than Bury at league level.

so either someone didn't do their homework or the goalposts have moved
  • So why is Roland about to have a rant about the EDL then?
He thinks Tommy Robinson is a racist thug?
    Haha
  • Just hope Roland doesnt demand another £10m if he does have to pay any tax at the end of the Financial year

Is the delay due to lack of funds then?

Hmm glad I didn't renew my season, was on the verge as thought it was a done deal but closed my purse at the last minute. Now it seems they're crossing the i's & dotting the t's. :-(

A few on Facebook are now saying they heard the EFL have rejected it.
